Everyone is welcome at our Friends of Saltwell Park events and informative walks!
There is a charge of £1 for members of the Friends of Saltwell Park and £2 for non-members.
If you become a member of the Friends of Saltwell Park (see membership for cost) at the event you will pay just £1 for the event or walk.
We meet from 10:30 for an 11:00 start, unless otherwise stated

There is no need to pre-book our events or walks unless otherwise stated.
​
​To ensure we can deliver a full programme we are looking for volunteers who can help organise events. Please let us know if you can assist us - click here
Wassail with us and toast the health of our Orchard!

As spring arrives our thoughts turn to apple blossom, bees and warmer days.
Join us in the Apple Bee Community Orchard (next to tennis courts and multi-use games area) where we take part in a wassail to waken the trees from their winter dormancy and encourage them to produce a good crop of apples this year.
Our usual event charge of £1 for members and £2 for non-members will be payable on the day.

Join the Friends of Saltwell Park for the first of our 2025 seasonal guided bird walks with ornithologist Michael Turner.

​​​We meet at 10am by the lake.
The walk will last for approximately two hours.
Michael’s walks are always popular and pre-booking is recommended. Use the 'bird walks - book now' button below to book directly with Michael, advising of the number of people attending and date of walk(s) required.

Our usual event charge of £1 for members and £2 for non-members will be payable on the day.
You are welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks. Please remember not to leave any litter though and don’t drop food that may be harmful to the birds and animals in the park!
